Life on Wheels and Prodigal Pottery

Grant Recipients 2021

Through God’s provision and our Partners’ generosity, on October 26, 2021, we celebrated and awarded $139,000 to two amazing ministries God is using to impact Birmingham! We were pleased to announce our 2021 OHSB grant recipients!

Life on Wheels – $75,000

Life on Wheels  Life on Wheels uses the power of ultrasound to serve women, save babies and share Jesus Target Group:  Pregnant women who have not yet seen a doctor nor had any prenatal care. We especially pray to meet abortion minded and abortion vulnerable women. Life on Wheels was awarded $75,000 to purchase a second mobile medical unit for Birmingham. 

Prodigal Pottery – $64,000

King’s Home seeks to serve and glorify God by providing Christ-centered homes and services in which compassion and competence combine to meet the needs of abused women, children and families fleeing domestic violence. Target Group:  King’s Home serves abused, at risk youth, women and adult mothers with children fleeing domestic violence. King’s Home was awarded $64,000 to help the Prodigal Pottery program fulfill its mission to employ, equip and empower women fleeing domestic abuse by expanding and refitting the pottery workspace in order to employ more women making handmade pottery and grow the program to become self-sustaining.
