Through God’s provision and our partners’ generosity, on September 23, 2025, we awarded $190,000 to THREE amazing ministries that God is using to impact Birmingham!
First Fruits
First Fruits Ministries gives support to women struggling with homelessness, addictions, poverty, and abuse. They show the love of Jesus to the forgotten and marginalized by helping low-income working women in need, who are overcoming family break ups or experiencing financial hardships.

First Fruits serve low income single working women who have demonstrated responsibility, dependability and the desire to change but are struggling because of low wages, debt, past addictions, criminal records, abuse, or a lack of education and skills. They also serve widows raising their grandchildren abandoned by addition.

First Fruits Ministries was awarded $50,000 to fund their “Cars for a Purpose program” where they provide well below market prices, affordable, dependable used cars for low-income single working women, which includes the car cost, repairs, tires, titles, Triple A cards and miscellaneous expenses.

Elevate Birmingham
Elevate Birmingham exists to empower youth at Wenonah High School through holistic development and faith by building long-term, life changing relationships with under-resourced youth equipping them to thrive in their community. Elevate delivers a mentoring and academic program centered on full time Teachers-Menors who live out and share their faith. the four key areas that they focus on are: accredited classes, mentoring, adventure, and college and career.
Elevate’s work targets low income students at Wenonah High School, many of whom have little to no exposure to Christ or biblical teaching. Roughly 83% of the students do not live with their biological father & 65% say (before Elevate) that they do not have a reliable adult in their life.
Elevate Birmingham was awarded $75,000 to enable Elevate to double the number of students from Wenonah who are exposed to the Gospel through YoungLife summer camp while expanding its role as a faith-aligned mentoring program that provides ongoing discipleship, spiritual programming, and dedicated mentors to foster deep personal and spiritual growth among at risk students.

Elevate Birmingham
Serving You Ministries serves as a ministry arm to area churches and partnering non-profits to serve our neighbors within our four core values of relief, development, relationships, and reconciliation.

Low to moderate income families on the western side of Birmingham. At the close of 2024, The Grace Place in Bessemer merged with Serving You Ministries.

Serving You was awarded $65,000 to be used for building renovations. In the fall of 2024, SYM and their in house partner: ELI (East Lake Initiative) were given the opportunity to expand and duplicate services on the west side of Birmingham. The Grace Place at Flint Hill Baptist Church in Bessemer has invited them to help strengthen and expand the services they currently offer to Bessemer families. The Grace Place is volunteer driven and currently offers a clothes closet and food boxes to families in need. With the addition of SYM and Eli, they will also offer utility assistance as well as family-centered coaching. The building is functional for the services currently offered but will require renovations to fully duplicate the current model.
